Hot Trend: Nude Illusion Featuring Jovani Spring 2013 Prom Collection

Spotted: the nude illusion style on a good number of pieces in the Jovani Spring 2013 Prom Collection. The nude illusion trend has been a favourite in Hollywood, and has been done by the likes of Emilio Pucci, Elie Saab, Marchesa, Roberto Cavalli, Atelier Versace, and Alexander McQueen.

Nude illusion is a dress design in which a sexy sheer fabric veils skin that would otherwise be exposed, somewhat like a stocking. This frothy confection keeps a supposedly sizzling number a notch demure to maintain the elegance and sophistication. Lace overlay, or stone and sequin-embellished tulle, are strategically positioned on the dress to create a peekaboo of skin in the most teasing areas. Such a touch of drama leaves us here at all giddy and excited.
