Shopping

1. Is my dress available?

Lots of the items on our site are in stock and ready to ship out to you! To find out the exact availability of a particular dress just select the size and color you would like to order and the availability will appear. The availability on the site is almost always accurate, but in the rare case that there is an issue we will be sure to get in touch with you.

If you are having trouble finding a dress that will get to you in time for your date please contact us and we’ll help you to find a perfect option.


2. I've heard the horror stories. Is this dress authentic?

Every single dress on our site is an authentic designer dress, and come to us straight from the designer with original tags and packaging. You are more than welcome to check the designers' websites and see that we are listed as an authorized retailer there. We highly encourage that you check out any online retailer you plan to order from before you buy.


3. Are you an Authorized Reseller of these designers?

Yes, we are authorized for every single designer we sell. Again you can always check with the designer to see that we are authorized to sell their dresses. We are listed as an authorized retailer on all of our designers' websites.


4. Is this the best deal for this dress?

MissesDressy always offers the lowest price for our dresses. We are so confident in this that we offer a Price Match Guarantee. If you do want to request a price match please read the full details here, then contact us and let us know.

Remember that if you see a dress listed elsewhere for a fraction of our price, it is probably a fake! Always be wary of sites that claim to offer a “too good to be true” deal. Feel free to contact us with any questions about another site, we are happy to help you find out if the deal is for real or not!


5. What size should I order?

You should check out the size chart for each dress you would like to order to see which size is best. Each designer uses their own size chart, so please check the correct designer's size chart. Don't assume that you should order a 6 just because that's your size at another shop!

We recommend that you have a friend measure you as this will give you a much more accurate measurement. Holding the tape measure level with the floor, take the measurements at the fullest part of your bust and hips, and the smallest part of your waist (this is typically about 2 inches above your belly button).

Sometimes you might find that your measurements just do not match up with the size chart. If they are just off by a bit or if you are between sizes we recommend that you go up a size, and then get it taken in where needed at your tailor. It is much easier to get a dress taken in than taken out! If the measurements are off by a lot, that is a sign that this dress will probably not fit you well in any size, and you may want to consider a different dress.


6. How do I know which color is best?

We do our best to provide you with photos of as many colors as we can. However, sometimes a dress was not photographed in every color. To see a color that was not photographed, please contact a customer service representative who will help you find an example of that color on another dress.

Some designers do also offer color swatches. We are happy to send you color swatches from any designer that offers this, just contact us.


7. When should I order my dress?

The short answer is, as soon as possible!

We always note the processing time when you select a size and color on your chosen dress. Remember that this does not include the shipping time (this varies based on your location, feel free to contact us for an estimate of how long it will take to ship to your address), or any extra time you will need to alter the dress once you receive it. Check the dress in the size and color you want to order to see if it will make it in time for your wear date.

We ask that you enter your wear date upon checkout, so that we will know when you need the dress. This way we will be able to get in touch with you if the estimated delivery time is very close to your wear date.


8. My dress says 'Special Order' - What should I do?

Special Order means that the dress has not yet been made, and will need to be cut just for you. The processing time will give you an estimate, usually between 6-8 weeks and 16-18 weeks to produce the dress. If this time frame will get you the dress in time, you can go ahead and place the order. If you are at all concerned, just go ahead and contact us and we will verify for you whether or not the dress can be produced in time.

You should measure yourself very carefully for a special order dress, because special order dresses cannot be returned.


9. What if my dress is not available?

While we do our best to keep our inventory information accurate, there are occasional cases where we will be unable to ship you the dress you ordered. We will let you know within one day, and we are happy to help you find another dress that we will be able to get for you.


10. I made a mistake, can I change my order?

If you contact us after placing your order we will do our best to make the changes you request, but we cannot guarantee any changes. We also cannot cancel any orders after they are placed so please be sure before you submit the order that you are ready to proceed with it as it is placed!


11. What if the dress I want is not listed on MissesDressy?

Just contact us! Usually if you can't find a dress on our site it is because the dress is an older style and no longer being made, or we do not carry that designer. Feel free to ask us, and we will check when and if we might be able to get it for you.


12. Do I need an account to shop with MissesDressy?

You do not need an account to browse the site. However, you will need to create an account when you place an order. This is to allow you to track your order, as well as to ensure we have all your contact information in case we need to get in touch with you regarding your order.

If you forget your password, just click on the “Forgot Your Password?” link and follow the instructions.

Shipping

14. What does shipping cost in the United States and how long does it take?

We are happy to be able to offer FREE shipping on all orders within the US. Free shipping goes by Ground Shipping in the US and usually arrives within 1 to 3 business days.

If you would like to expedite your shipping, we can offer you 1 or 2 day shipping. 2 day shipping costs $22, and 1 day shipping costs $31.

Careful! If you select 1 day shipping, that does not mean you are guaranteed to get your dress the day after you place your order! Rushing your shipping does not rush the processing time. Be sure to check the processing time on your dress before you place your order, and feel free to contact us with any questions.


15. What does International Shipping cost and how long does it take?

We are happy to ship your order outside of the United States, and we offer FREE shipping on all international orders $500 and up. Free international shipping goes by Standard Mail, and usually arrives within 5 to 10 business days.

International shipping costs for orders under $500 will vary depending on your location. Don't worry, you'll be able to see the exact cost before you complete your order.

Unfortunately, we aren't able to ship Allure, Night Moves, Mori Lee, Mon Cheri, Tony Bowls, Maggie Sottero, and Enzoani outside of the US. Please contact us to confirm if we can ship a particular dress to your country.


16. How will my dress be shipped?

We ship using USPS and DHL.


17. I need my dress ASAP!

Not a problem! We have lots of dresses available to ship out quickly, just check the processing time shown on the product page to see how long it will take for the item to ship out. You can browse dresses that we have in our showroom here, and even more dresses that we can ship out to you today here. Just make sure you place your order before 2pm Eastern to be sure it will process that same day. You can also select 1 or 2 day shipping for a small fee ($22 for 2 day shipping or $31 for 1 day shipping). Remember that rushing your shipping does not rush the processing time, so if your dress says it ships in 5-7 days and you purchase 1 day shipping, that dress will go out to you via express shipping after it is processed. We may be able to drop ship your dress to you directly from the designer for a fee of $25. We may also be able to drop ship overnight to you from the designer for a $50 fee. Please contact us to find out if this is possible for your chosen dress. If you live near us, you can come to the showroom and pick out a dress in person, and bring it home the same day. No shipping required! You can see which styles we have in stock at the showroom here.


18. Can I track my order?

Yes! Just log in to your MissesDressy account to see the progress of your order. Give us at least a day before you try to check on your order, please!


19. Do I need to sign for my delivery?

Yes, you will need to sign for your delivery.


20. I ordered two dresses at the same time, will they arrive on the same day?

Not necessarily. We will ship out your items as soon as they become available, so they may arrive separately.


Payment Options

21. What forms of payment are accepted on MissesDressy.com?

We accept all major credit cards, as well as PayPal, Money Order, and Bank Transfer. To pay via bank transfer please contact us and we'll email you the account details. Please note that there will be a fee for bank transfers, which varies depending on your bank.


22. When will I be charged?

Once you place your order, a hold will be placed on your credit card for the order total. The charge does not go through and withdraw the funds until the item ships out to you.

If we issue you a refund, the funds will appear on your statement within 5-7 business days.


23. Can I put a dress on Layaway?

Yes! Call us during New York business hours, 9am to 6pm EST, Monday to Friday, to put an item on Layaway. Unfortunately we can't take layaway orders directly through the website. There's a 15% deposit up front, and then you have 90 days to pay for the dress. When you're fully paid, we'll ship your dress to you. See the full details in our policy.


24. How do I know my payment is secure?

MissesDressy.com has been verified as a safe site for payment by PayPal, Authorize.net, and GoDaddy.com

Our system uses real-time self-updating technology to thwart attacks by the most sophisticated of hackers. We've invested much effort to ensure that our systems are virtually impenetrable.

Regardless, we do not store payment information on our servers. Once a credit card has been authorized or disapproved by our processor, we discard the credit card information.

The connection between your computer and our systems for the purpose of filling our forms (such your name, address, and payment at checkout) is always encrypted through industrial-strength SSL algorithms.

When you enter secure portions of our site, you'll see the http:// turn into https:// in the URL. Depending on your browser, you may see other enhanced security markings (such as a golden lock in Firefox and IE).


25. How do I redeem my Store Credit?

We apply all store credits directly to your MissesDressy account, and the credit is applied to your order automatically at checkout the next time you buy a dress from us. Make sure you log in using the same email address as you did for the previous order. If you want to change your email address on your account, just contact us.

Please remember that your store credit expires after 1 year.


Returns

26. Can I return my dress?

Yes! You can return your dress within 3 days of delivery, and we will issue you a store credit in the amount of the item. You are responsible for return shipping costs.

You can only return dresses and shoes, and wedding dresses are not returnable. Any other merchandise is final sale. Any item purchased in our showroom, any special order item, and any sale item is also final sale.

27. My dress is damaged, what can I do?

Contact us! We do our best to ensure that you receive your dress in great condition, but if there is any issue let us know as soon as you get your dress, and we're happy to take the dress back and exchange it for you.


28. Can I refuse a shipment?

You can, but we prefer that you cancel the order with us. If you do refuse your shipment and we receive the dress back we will issue you a store credit for your order. See more details in our policy here.
